Offline GPS LiveMap – Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Offline GPS LiveMap ("the app") is published by C60 Limited. It is built to work without any network, and it is built not to collect anything about you.
What the app does with your data
- Location, motion and pressure sensors. The app reads satellite position, the step detector, the rotation vector (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer) and the barometer to compute where you are, including underground. These readings are processed on your phone. Sessions (track, anchor, waypoints) are saved only in the app's private storage on your device and can be exported by you as GPX or CSV files.
- Squad sharing. When you start tracking with a squad code, your position, depth, recent trail, battery level, moving/stationary state, the name you entered and any waypoints you create are sent directly to other phones that use the same squad code and are within radio range, over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Aware, Wi-Fi LAN or UWB. Phones in the squad relay each other's packets. Nothing is sent to us or to any server. You control this by choosing the squad code and by stopping tracking.
- Microphone. Used only while you record a voice waypoint, with the phone's own speech recogniser; audio is not stored or transmitted by the app.
- Camera flash. The torch is switched on and off for the Sync Beacon. The camera itself is never used.
- Notifications. An ongoing notification (a Live Update on Android 16) shows depth, distance back and the nearest teammate while tracking runs.
- Map tiles. When you download an area or view an undownloaded one, the app requests map tiles from the tile server you selected (OpenTopoMap or OpenStreetMap by default, or a server you configure). Those servers receive the ordinary technical information of an HTTP request (such as your IP address and the tiles requested) under their own policies. No other network requests are made.
- Subscription. The subscription is sold through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and tells the app only whether an active subscription exists (a purchase token); the app keeps that answer on the device so the unlock stays available offline. We never see your payment details. Google's handling of purchase data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
What we collect
Nothing. The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising SDK and no crash reporting service, and it never contacts a server operated by us. Payments are handled by Google Play.
Permissions
Location (surface positioning and the entrance anchor), physical activity (step detector), nearby devices / Bluetooth / UWB (squad links and ranging), notifications (Live Update), microphone (voice waypoints, optional), foreground service (tracking with the screen off).
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
